Wind energy can be a very attractive source of production among renewable energy sources. With the Renewable Energy Law issued by the Ministry of Energy in December 2010, producers can generate electricity without a license with wind turbines up to 1MW capacity in the wind energy field, and even sell the excess energy they do not use to the grid. This law aims to save energy, reduce our dependence on foreign countries, and make a positive contribution to the environment. For this purpose, the state provides incentives to those who produce energy with wind power. This market and related incentives will be defined as the unlicensed wind market in Turkey.
